Your babies checking in again from Hotel Lorimer .  I am glad to see you are having as much fun on your holiday as we are.  

We love chasing our friends around the garden, it is sooo much fun

And we never seem to get tired of it

But the most fun we have had is swimming.  We are so happy Hotel Lorimer fixed their swimming pool in time for our holiday – we have been swimming everyday and absolutely LUV it. 

Aunty Carmel sometimes throws the ball in for us and then we jump in and fetch it.  You must try it sometime Mom and Dad, it is the best fun you will ever have

But eventually gave in and jumped in to fetch it

Oscar also jumped in a few times to fetch it

Our friend Koda likes to sit on the step and relax – he says that step was built just for him

He then likes to dig a hole in the new flower bed to bury his ball.  He is such a silly boy

When Aunty Carmel came outside, she shouted at Koda because he looked like this

She said Koda is going to come home with us when you guys fetch us at the end of our holiday.  We are beyond excited now.  Can you imagine how cool it will be to have our BFF living with us – it is going to be amazing

We hope you are enjoying your honeymoon at “Walkhaven” and are not missing us too much

Weekend has arrived, and just like last year, Aunty C told us she had something special planned for Sunday.  We will once again be doing our bit for charity – but a different one this time.  She said we are going to Zoo Lake this time to do the Revlon CHOC  Celebration of life fun walk.  We were so excitied because last year’s one was sooo much fun, we couldn’t wait for Sunday to come.

Pennylopes woke Aunty C and Uncle G up at 05h30 on Sunday morning just to make sure they didn’t over sleep ( they only went to bed late on Saturday because they were celebrating the Lions winning the Currie Cup ).  Uncle G said we may not be able to go because the weather wasn’t playing along and there had been a typical Highveld thunderstorm on Friday evening and it had been raining in the early hours of Sunday morning.  Even though it was overcast, Aunty C still said we must go, so we had our breakfast and by 07h00 we were all in that styling bakkie ready for our adventure to begin

By the time we got there, the clouds were gone, the sun was shining and we were ready for the walk to start

We had to walk around this massive park.  It had a big dam with ducks and everything – it was awesome, such interesting stories to read on every tree and bush.  We left a few of our own stories along the way aswell and then relaxed a bit while we waited for our friend Koda.

Once again, Koda didn’t walk with us because he is a little machine and wanted to run all the way, so Aunty Carmel’s friend’s son took Koda.  His name is Jordan and he is only 10 years old, but he also likes to run.  He ran all the way with Koda and once again, our friend Koda came first – second year in a row .  Eukanuba gave him a prize with a big pink ribbon on for winning.  We are so proud of our BFF

Everybody was coming to us and telling us how gorgeous we are and taking photos of us – guess this is what is feels like to be famous .  When Aunty C wanted to take a picture of us, we thought we would play a trick on her and decided to look the other way and not at the camera ( famous beagles can do that you know ) – but we still look so handsome, even from the side

 When we got back to the Vale, Koda started playing with the toy he won in his prize packet.  We don’t mind him playing with it first because he ran so well – he deserves it.  We think he is also going to be famous one day 

Anyway parents, we are very hot from our adventure this morning so we are going to go cool off in the swimming pool.  Have you tried out your swimming pool yet?

Harrooo here.  Aunty C told us you had trouble getting to “Walkhaven”.  She said the people that were taking you, left you behind.  That is very rude of them.  You should have just gone in that styling Hotel Lorimer bakkie – they never leave us behind

This is just a quick blog to let you know that everything is awesome at Hotel Lorimer, so you don’t have to worry about us – and you can enjoy yourself at “Walkhaven”. 

Yesterday was Dewali and boy do these people in the Vale like celebrating it.  There were so many of crackers going off everywhere.   Aunty C and Uncle G put the TV on so I couldn’t here the crackers and let me sleep with them on the bed until the crackers stopped – I wasn’t scared at all and slept the whole time

Aunty C also doesn’t believe that we are late sleepers because we have been awake at 05h00 every morning since we got to Hotel Lorimer.  We have our breakfast and are outside running and playing by 06h00 – it is sooo much fun.  Aunty C tried to get photos of us running and playing this morning ( at 06h13 ), but we running so fast, the photos are blurry ( I personally dont think she knows how to use her camera so early in the morning ), but you can still get an idea of how much fun we are having

and you know what parents, that Koda is the silliest Jack Rusell I have ever met.  He didn’t want to play with us this morning because he was trying to make his blanket squeak.  I told him his blanket can’t squeak, but he doesn’t want to listen to me

I am sure he will come join in the fun later.

I can hear Snoopy, Penny and Oscie calling me – I think it is swimming time.  I hope you get a chance to swim in your swimming pool – it is sooo much fun.  I will blog about our swimming adventures later.

guys, we are so excited! Our mom and dad finally got married, so we are now LEGAL BEAGLES!
they are on their way to some place with lots of water and trees (sounds a bit like Walkhaven!) … which means, we are going on Holiday for a week to Hotel Lorimer again! Wooo hooowoorooo!! We are so excited to spend time with Aunty C and Uncle G and our buddies Snoop, Pennylopes and Koda!
Mom is taking us there soon… we will try and blog in the next week, to let mom and dad know what we are up to, but we are gonna have so much fun, i don’t know if we’ll have time to blog!

Hotel Lorimer has recently revamped their pool, so we are totally gonna try it out!

Greetings once again Mom and Dad, Oscar checking in.  Hope you are enjoying your football match – I believe it’s Go Dolphins – lol.  When we woke up this morning we were sooo excited once again because we knew Aunty Carmel and Uncle Gavin were taking us to see all our beagle friends today.  We know how much energy we need for this afternoon, so we spent the morning relaxing.  Harry and Koda even dug up the “flower bed” to make a comfy spot for them to chill.  Koda however kept one ear very alert just to make sure we didn’t miss the call to get ready.

Before we knew it, it was time and we were on our way.  When we got there, we went straight to the dam and Uncle Gavin threw my squeaky ball into the water.  Harry was the first one to get it

Next thing we knew, all our beagle friends had arrived.  There was Rotadom, Pippin and Rebel, Aimee and Nelson, Kingsley and Enzo, Stewie and Daisy and Humphrey with Barnaby and all his beagles.  Everywhere you looked there were just beagle friends and more beagle friends.  It was wonderful.

It was a nice cool day and there were even one or two little rain showers while we were there, but Rotadom still thought the sun was to bright so they both came with their sunglasses on.  I must admit, they do look rather cool with their shades on

We had so much fun running and chasing each other and our friends through the bushes

And the mud.  We got sooo dirty, but it was awesome

Uncle Gavin even brought some of our biltong that we got for completing our Walkathon last week with and we shared it with all our beagle friends – they all loved it ( even Rotadom )

Eventually at 17h30, our holiday parents told us it is time to get going because we had a long ride home and we would definately need a good long bath and scrub to try get us clean, so they wanted to get home before it was to dark.  We didn’t mind because we had such a great time at Walkhaven and our friends were leaving aswell.  So next thing, we were all packed into that bakkie and ready to go

When we got home, Harry and I both had to be bathed twice to try get our legs clean.  We had dinner and then it was off to our baskets for some sleep.  We were absolutely exhasted but it was definately worth every minute.

So Mom and Dad, I woke up just to come and tell you all about our afternoon at Walkhaven, but I am still very tired.  So I am checking out for now.  I hope the Dolphins won and hope to see a blog from you soon.  Later dudes – Oscar

Greetings parents.  Harry signing in.  Weekend has arrived which is great because we know Aunty Carmel always plans something special for us on the weekend.  I believe we will be seeing all our beagle friends tomorrow, so we are super, super excited.  Today started off as normal with all of us doggies playing and chasing each other around the garden

Then Aunty C and Uncle G put us in the other side of Hotel Lorimer for a while because they said the time had come to get rid of the black wobbly thing.  Oscar and I were sooo upset because we really like the black wobbly thing now and play on it all the time.  Little did we know that Aunty Carmel had another surprise for us.

She replaced it with a blue cover ( Apparently the black wobbly thing doesn’t work so well in the rainy season ).  We were so happy to see there was something new for us to play on.  Aunty Carmel said it was a magic cover and we would discover why when we played on it.  At first we weren’t so sure about this whole idea and only played on the corner

But then we saw our friend Koda running on it and we saw the magic.  This cover makes a special little swimming pool for you to play in as you walk or run on it – HOW COOL IS THAT

Once we figured that out – the fun really began.

I absolutely LOVE this magic cover mom and dad – please can we also get one.  I played on it the whole afternoon and had even more fun trying to find my ball in my little swimming pool.

This cover is so magical, it knows we don’t only want to “swim”, so if you go to the other side, it stays dry and the material is a little bit rough so it is perfect for a nice back rub – Isn’t that just amazing Mom and Dad

Hotel Lorimer is “the bomb” and this is turning out to be the best holiday ever.  Well, that magic cover is calling my name again, so I am off.  Enjoy your last few hours of Disney and send us an update soon.  Harry signing off.

Hey Mom and Dad, Oscar here.  Just finished reading your blog.  I am really glad to see you guys are having such a wonderful time on your holiday.  Things are still going great on this side of the world, but I had to be the first to tell you that we have a little beagle romance happening at Hotel Lorimer.  Harry has a girlfriend – Pennylopes.  They don’t leave each other alone.  If you need to find Harry, look for Penny and if you need to find Penny, look for Harry.  They are always together, running and playing.

They were getting a bit out of hand, so we have put Koda in charge to watch over them

Harry and Penny are watching a movie right now, so that’s why I am the blogger today, but he said I must tell you that he is very happy and he thinks Pennylopes is the sexiest beagle to walk this planet.

Other than Harry and Penny’s romance, Koda and I are still best buds and play ball with each other all the time

And there is no curfew at Hotel Lorimer so sometimes we play until it is too dark for Aunty Carmel to even take pictures anymore ( but she does still try ).

Sup Parents.  Looks like you are starting to have lots of fun on your holiday ( just as we are ).  We have had an awesome weekend.  Last night Aunty Carmel said we all had to go to bed early because we had to be up bright and early on Sunday morning for our surprise.  It was very difficult to sleep because we were so excited, so Aunty Carmel let us lie on the bed with her again.

We were awake at 04h00 this morning because we just couldn’t wait for our surprise anymore.  Eventually Aunty Carmel and Uncle Gavin told us we are going to do our bit for charity today.  They said we were going on a Walkathon in Emmarentia.  We didn’t really understand then what they meant, but next thing they put on our collars and leads so we knew we were going somewhere fun, fun, fun.

When we were put into that “styling” bakkie again, we were soooo happy, and couldn’t wait to get this charity thing started.

It took us an hour to get there and we saw a few other doggies ( but not the same ones as when we go hunting ).  Everybody was playing with us and telling us how gorgeous we are and we even made a new friend

After waiting for about 15 minutes or so, Aunty Carmel and Uncle Gavin told us it was time for the Walkathon to begin and we were about to go on a 5 kilometer walk around all these streets with all the other people and doggies.

And off we go ( Koda wasn’t with us – he went with a friend of Aunty Carmels.  She is a commrades runner so they disappeared in front of us.  We were a bit worried about our friend Koda, but Aunty Carmel reassured us that we would see him at the end again. )

We had so much fun walking all over the place ( the newspapers on this side of the world are totally different to the ones we read in Midrants and “The Vale” ).  When we got to the end, these ladies from Purina came and gave us MORE of that doggie biltong and Purina bandana things for completing the walk ( Look how cool we look with our bandanas on ).  And just as Aunty Carmel promised, we met up with our friend Koda again.  Koda said he was the first dog to finish the walk – we are so proud of him because he has the shortest legs we have ever seen, but he runs so fast.

We got some more love and pats from all these strange people and then at lunchtime Aunty Carmel and Uncle Gavin said it was time to go home.  That was a good idea because even though we had an awesome time, we were very tired and needed to go relax on that bed in the bakkie.  So we all passed out for the whole ride back to “The Vale”. 

When we got back to Hotel Lorimer, we sat on the bed with Aunty Carmel and Uncle Gavin and watched some more Top Chef.  It is getting very exciting Mom and Dad – you better start watching soon.

WOW, what a great weekend we had - it was the bestest.  Uncle Gavin is calling us for dinner so we gotta go now.  Till next time – Harry and Oscar

Hey Mom and Dad – Welcome back to the land of the living.  We were begining to wonder if you guys were ever going to leave that Honeymoon suite of yours - lol.  Things are still going great at Hotel Lorimer.  Aunty Carmel and Uncle Gavin are the best doggie hotel owners ever.  They even let us all lie on the bed with them for TV time ( Penny Lopes was being a good girl and watching from her basket )

But we are also good when it comes to sleep time and we also go to our baskets.  We even let Koda share with us.

We had a nice bit of rain last night and guess what – that black wobbly thing got it’s own water bowl just for the rain.  We are soo happy now – it is even more fun to play on the wobbly thing now that it is full of water

Mom and Dad, there are so many things happening at Hotel Lorimer, it is so exciting.  Aunty Carmel came home with a bunch of little white packets and we could smell something delicious was inside.  When we asked her what was inside and what they were for, she said it was part of a very big surprise that she has planned for us on Sunday.

She did however show us those delicious smelly things which turned out to be doggie biltong.  There were 5 packets in total ( so that meant one whole, full packet for each of us doggies ).   Aunty Carmel said they are all for us and no one else – can you believe it.

We are so glad you brought us to Hotel Lorimer, this is turning out to be the bestest holiday ever.  Anyways, us doggies are having a secret meeting at 18h30 to discuss the weekend and to try figure out what our surprise is for Sunday so we have to go now.  Hope you are still enjoying your holiday.  Still sending beagle kisses, licks and hugs - Harry and Oscar

Sup parents, Oscie again.  Hope you are enjoying your days in the Keys ( and FYI Mom and Dad, your spelling and vocab is atrocious ).  It is exactly one week today, that we arrived at Hotel Lorimer.  Can you believe it?  We are still having an awesome time here, however, Aunty Carmel put us on the other side of  the Hotel again today because she says I had verbal  diarrhoea and was ”talking” to much.  She said if I blogged tonight, I must tell you that she says there is nothing wrong with my lungs or “talking” cords – just in case you ever had any doubt.

When we came back to the nice side of Hotel Lorimer, the fun began all over again.

Today was also a very exciting day for me because I am a big boy now and not scared of the big black wobbly thing anymore.  It is really fun once you get used to it and I play on it all the time now ( and continued “talking” )

Aunty Carmel said she would take the black wobbly thing away one of these days so we can see what is underneath.  I am so excited to see what it is. 

Anyway Mom and Dad, it is time for Top Chef so gotta dash, the rest of them dogs and humans are waiting just for me.  So I am sending more kisses and look forward to hearing from you soon.
